After three years with Ineos, Canada’s Michael Leonard now plies his trade with EF Education-Easypost, having signed a three-year contract with the pink-clad American WorldTeam in November. Tomorrow, the Canadian time trial champion will make his debut for EF at the Tour Down Under, his first attempt at the WorldTour opener.
Now retired, Michael Woods came 10th on GC last season, Jonathan Narvaez taking the title in his debut for UAE-Emirates.

Narvaez is back and his teammates Adam Yates and Jay Vine are solid contenders for the title. Jayco’s Ben O’Connor hopes to bounce back from a somewhat disappointing 2025 following a fine 2024.
The Tour Down Under is Uno-X’s first race as a WorldTeam. Lotto-Intermarché will see its first competition as a combined WT team—the line up is a good mix of 2025 Lotto and 2025 Intermarché-Wanty chaps. The new incarnation of Israel-Premier Tech, NSN (Never Say Never), also makes its debut.
The racing starts early tomorrow morning at 2:05 p.m. EST on FloBikes with a 3.6-km prologue in Adelaide.
