Electric mountain bikes can be a great way to get into our sport. They can also be wildly expensive. Norco’s new Sight VLT Bosch A brings a full-powered bike at a solid price, whether you’re new to bikes, new to electric bikes, or just want a bike that’s good value.
Norco Sight VLT Bosch A
The Sight VLT Bosch A builds off of Norco’s venerable all-mountain Sight platform. With an alloy frame, 150mm rear-wheel travel, 160mm forks across the line and a dedicated mixed-wheel set-up, it’s a solid base. Norco adds some of its higher-end features, like size specific seat angles and rear center lengths so that every size, from S1 to S5, fits and rides the same.
The bike is built around Norco’s Virtual Pivot Syspension (VPS), the brand’s take on a horst-link-based design. Powering all of this is a new Bosch PX motor and system. The new motor delivers 90Nm of torque and 700W max power. That’s up to 400 per cent support, so you can go for extra laps but still feel like you’re actually riding the bike, not just along for the ride. Norco hides a 600Wh battery in the downtube, with the option of a PowerMore 250Wh Range Extender if you want extra laps or are planning a bigger adventure.
