Favero Assioma PRO MX power pedals get better with you

Favero Assioma PRO MX power pedals get better with you

As pedal-based power meters evolve, they are bringing new levels of flexibility to rider’s training. Power pedals like Favero’s Assioma series are opening up meaningful data-driven training to a wider range of riders.

How? Assioma’s interchangeable pedal body design and a more accessible price point mean more riders can unlock power-based training without having to choose which bike, and which training rides the record and which rides they’ll be forced to ride without power.

Making every ride count

As any coach or good training plan will tell you, consistency a key element to maximizing the potential of a training plan. That includes consistent and reliable data collection and monitoring. Making one power pedal that can follow you from road season to gravel, or from gravel to mountain bike training, enables riders to make every ride count as they try to achieve their full potential.

Personally, I now spend most of my time on either a mountain bike or gravel bike. That’s made moving the Assioma PRO MX from my cross country whip to my gravel bike, where I spend many longer off-season hours, quick and easy. But if you’re moving from road to gravel, Favero makes it just as easy to measure power consistently between bikes.

One sensor, multiple pedal bodies

How does Favero make one set of power pedals work for every bike and every ride?

The entire power meter system — strain gauges, electronics, rechargeable battery — lives inside a sensor spindle. Since all the electronics are contained in the spindle, you can switch between SPD cleats and Shimano SPD-SL or Look Keo cleats by switching just the pedal body. Favero’s Assioma PRO RS, PRO RL  and PRO MX pedal bodies are all interchangeable so one set of power pedals can measure power on every bike.

Power pedals that get better with you

After releasing the Assioma PRO MX, Favero didn’t sit back and leave it to riders to get better. The Italian brand is still hard at work making its power pedals better. The latest update is a massive increase to battery life. Favero’s streamlined how the Assioma PRO power pedals work, allowing them to get an impressive 160 hours battery life out of a single charge. That battery life update is not just for new pedals, either. The running update is available as a firmware update to existing Favero customers, too.

Taking regular and frequent charging out of the equation isn’t just a matter of convenience. It’s a matter of performance. It means that,…
