Many are criticizing Silvia Persico (Valcar- Travel & Service) for her sprint in stage 6. The race came down to a bunch sprint, and Team Jumbo-Visma’s Marianne Vos took a superb victory, wearing yellow.
Vos the boss: yellow jersey wins Tour de France Femmes Stage 6
As the riders came to the line, Vos would lead the sprint, putting a bike length into Marta Bastianelli (UAE Team ADQ). Behind her, Persico makes a desperate attempt to find a hole to squeeze through, but in doing so, veers dramatically to the left. She comes within inches of taking down fellow Italian Maria Giulia Confalonieri (Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling.)
