Jonas Vingegaard has won the Tour de France and now he’s officially announced his participation in the 2023 Vuelta a España.

The Dane spoke to Spanish sports daily Marca and other Spanish media on Sunday morning, just before heading to Paris for the Tour’s final stage, Vingegaard expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Vuelta: “See you in Barcelona, in the Vuelta.”

In a pre-Tour de France stage 21 interview, he elaborated more on his Vuelta plans, stating, “I will attempt to contend for the general classification, and Primož Roglič will do the same. Undoubtedly, we will both serve as team leaders.”
