Lorena Wiebes abandons the Tour de France Femmes

Lorena Wiebes has left the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift ahead of stage 5 of the race, following a first and second-place finish on the two major sprint stages of the race.

The team announced her departure from the race on social media briefly before the start of stage 5, “Of course this is a sportive loss for Team SD Worx, ‘cause there were still sprint opportunities. But health always prevails,” said SD Worx Sports Director Danny Stam.
