The “super worlds” are in full flight! Several Canadians were competing at the Glasgow Velodrome on Friday. Day 3’s morning session saw several top results by Canucks.
Women’s team pursuit qualification
Canada’s TP squad finished 8th, qualifying for the next round. Maggie Coles-Lyster, Sarah van Dam, Erin Attwell and Arianne Bonhomme finished 8.875 seconds behind the fastest time of the day, set by Great Britian, who came in at 4:10.33
Men B 1 km TT
The Canadian duo of Ed Veal and Lowell Taylor came in 16th, with a time of 1:06:45. The British pair, Neil Fachie and Matthew Rotherham clocked the fastest, with a ROTHERHAM with a blistering 59.7.
Women’s C3 omnium 200 m
Mel Pemble came in quickest in the 200 m event in the C3 omnium. The Canadian’s time was 13.138.
Men’s C3 omnium 200 m
In the men’s event, Tarek Dahab come in third.
There’s lots more action in store in the evening session, including Canada’s men’s team pursuit squad in heat 1 against Germany.
