Trek unveiled the latest iteration of their Domane AL road bike on Friday. This aluminum bike promises enduring comfort, impressive performance, and enhanced all-road adaptability, thanks to its a refreshed, lighter-weight design.
This new bike has received notable improvements in both comfort and versatility. It now boasts a larger all-road tire clearance, making it capable of handling a wide range of surfaces, whether it’s pavement or gravel. Furthermore, Domane’s comfortable endurance geometry ensures that riders maintain a more upright position, promoting all-day comfort.
Tire versatility
With a generous 38mm tire clearance, you can confidently explore everything from well-paved streets to rugged backroads and even tackle most gravel trails with ease and comfort on the new Domane AL.
Lightweight combination of aluminum and carbon
When it comes to weight, the Domane AL is 0.23 kg lighter than its predecessor, the Domane AL Disc, courtesy of a freshly redesigned 100 Series Alpha Aluminum frame and a brand-new full-carbon fork.
Mounts galore
Equipped with mounts for a top tube bag, rack, and fenders, the Domane AL is ready for a wide range of activities. Whether that’s your weekday commutes, weekend group rides, or all-day adventures, you’re set.
Improved front end
Additionally, the Domane AL’s cockpit has been updated with a contemporary road bar design to enhance ergonomics and control. It features a shorter reach and a 4mm flare between the hoods and drops. Also, the inclusion of concealed cable routing adds a level of integration usually associated with more high-end models.
Universal derailleur hanger
A new feature on the Domane AL now is a new thru axle that is compatible with the Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). This UDH is identical to the one featured on Trek mountain bikes.
