If you use any sort of social media, you’ve probably seen countless TikTok or Instagram posts of athletes showing off their Paris Olympic team gear. Since some of us don’t get to enjoy wearing these uniforms ourselves, we at least deserve to have some fun comparing the outfits. Here are some of our favourite and least favourite uniforms from the 2024 Games, from worst to best.
Ireland
The award for the worst uniform goes to Ireland. The opening ceremonies look for the Irish suggests that all the athletes are about to do karate. Even if that was the case–where is all the green?
Guatemala
Guatemala’s uniform is certainly eye-catching. The colours of their flag are sky blue and white; so the bright green and blue colours are a surprising choice. The outfit basically looks like it was inspired by Peter Pan. At the same time, the look is also quite plain, clearly lacking the beautiful embroidery and long skirts that are part of traditional Guatemalan clothing. It’s a no from me.
Australia
Australia’s colours are quite bold, so clashing outfits are almost expected.

Team USA
These outfits make Team USA look like the Barden Bellas from Pitch Perfect or a posse of race car drivers. An interesting look, but they’ll probably pull it off. The rest of their uniforms include cool pieces–some classy, some vintage. I do not, however, support their choice of font. I have mixed opinions on this one.
Italy
Believe it or not, Italy’s look for the opening ceremonies is a hoodie and sweatpants. Isn’t this one of the fashion capitals of the world? I guess it’s sort of classic and looks pretty comfortable, and the rest of their gear is tasteful. Even though they’re missing a…
