Marc Soler celebrates his stage win.

Vuelta a España: Marc Soler erupts for win on stage 16’s Lagos de Covadonga summit while O’Connor clings to red jersey

He leads Roglič by just five seconds now.

The Australian remains in red tonight.

O’Connor crosses the line and the gap is just under a minute.

The trio finish the stage 3:54 down on Soler.

Mas leads the group to the line.

Now a minute back to O’Connor.

He’s trying to make it back in as the group heads into the final kilometre.

Gaudu a few seconds off the back.

O’Connor remains 50 seconds off Roglič, Mas and Carapaz.

Zana crosses the line in second, Poole in third.

Gaudu is dropping away.

Roglič, Mas, Carapaz and Gaudu are still together.

20 seconds from Soler to Poole and Zana.

Roglič is close to virtual red.

O’Connor almost a minute down now.

Carapaz and Gaudu stick with him with Roglič slower to react.

Mas attacks again.

O’Connor 50 seconds down.

Landa has Lecerf from the breakaway with him in the chase behind.

Four minutes from solo Soler and then 45 seconds to O’Connor.

Soler has a gap up front.

Roglič chases across to Mas and Carapaz.

Carapaz goes with him. Up front, Soler makes another move.
