While some of the scenes may be a bit hoaky the riding in Vašek Kolář definitely isn’t. In the style of Danny MacAskill and the Wibmers, Kolář absolutely kills it in his latest video My Fuel. So who is this guy?

Vašek Kolář, better known as Vasha, has spent over 25 years immersed in the world of cycling, pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible on two wheels. Born on April 1, 1991, in Blansko, Czech Republic, Kolář’s journey began at the age of six when he discovered his passion for trials. What started as a childhood fascination quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to a sport that has shaped his identity and legacy.

From a young prodigy to world champion

Kolář’s talent was evident from an early age. By 2002, at just 11-years-old, he claimed his first major victory as youth world champion at a competition in Japan. That win was a turning point, inspiring him to dedicate himself fully to training and competition. Over the years, he transitioned from youth categories to the elite ranks. He fulfilled his dream of becoming a six-time elite world champion.

Beyond these crowning achievements, Kolář’s résumé includes 12 World Championship titles across all categories, 8 European Championships, 21 Czech National Championships, and numerous records.

A style that stands out

What sets Kolář apart isn’t just his accolades but his approach to the sport. Whether competing, filming YouTube videos, or riding freestyle, Kolář emphasizes style and simplicity in everything he does. Lately, he has diversified his riding to include trials, street trials and enduro, incorporating tricks and techniques that keep his performances fresh and dynamic.

Kolář’s love for cycling extends beyond personal achievement. As chairman of the ÚAMK Biketrial Blansko club, he dedicates himself to mentoring young riders and fostering a new generation of talent. Through bike camps, private lessons and his growing portfolio of bike shows, Kolář shares his passion with audiences worldwide. His shows, known for their extreme tricks and high energy, have become a favorite feature at events, leaving audiences captivated.
