As 2026 approaches, we’re getting a better sense of of what the peloton will look like next year. Not who will race where, there are plenty of changes left in that circus. Literally what the peloton will look like. Will it look good? Will it look bad? As teams reveal their 2026 kit designs we know one thing: at least it won’t all look the same again.
There are some bold fashion statements coming in 2026 – INEOS, we’re looking at you and, when rainy spring Classics start, we’ll be trying to avoid looking at your white shorts – along with a few safe bets. We’re keeping a rolling ranking of the best, and worst kit, as its announced.
2026 World Tour fashion rankings
SD Worx ProTime
Colourful but fresh. Maybe this won’t look as fresh by the end of the season, but it looks great now.
Canyon/SRAM
Canyon/SRAM’s kit is always bright and a little loud. And it’s great. It stands out in the peloton, it looks like summer. It’s not boring. This year’s kit is very much not boring, and a little busy, but in a good way. I think the only miss is the weird red patch below the shoulder that shows off the brands. It looks a little forced and doesn’t match the rest of the pattern. But other than that, it’s great.
Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe
This is a lesson in how to be simple without being boring. Last year’s kit was fine, but blended in. This 2026 kit will stand out without being dull. I’m surprised I like it, but I like it.
Soudal-Quick Step / AG Insurance-Soudal
Soudal-Quick Step is a solid middle-ground kit. It’s a little fresh, with it’s two-toned background. But it isn’t wild or bold. It’s more interesting than the Wolfpack’s usual solid colours, but without getting weird. I think it’ll stand out a little in the group, but not be blaring.
INEOS Grenadiers
If INEOS manages to pull off the comeback the team is plotting, it’ll be hard to miss. We haven’t seen much of the U.K. for a while, but we won’t be able to miss this orange, white and “grey,” no matter where they’re stuck in the peloton. It looks like a creamsicle but, with the white and grey, a dirty creamsicle. Is it a win? Is it a really bad idea to only have white… er, sorry, “grey” shorts? Should anyone who is not a world champion wear shorts this close to white? All divisive questions. So, points for being interesting. Points deducted for looking like a popsicle that fell in cigarette ashes.
