After a strong first junior season, and stellar U17 career, Ryder Wilson is stepping up. The Vancouver Island rider will spend his second junior season with the UCI outfit, Team High Country.
Wilson spent much of his 2025 season closer to home, racing around North America. That included Canada Cup wins, podiums at nationals and at the Monster Energy Pro DH / Fox Open DH in the U.S. and an overall podium at the Triple Crown of DH.
Wilson stepped up to international racing with ease. Not racing the entire series makes netting a result hard, but the Canadian earned a junior top 10 in just his third start. That result came at Mont-Sainte-Anne, closing out the season on a high note.
Off the back of those results, Wilson joins the four-rider Team High Country squad. He makes the move from Cumberland, B.C. based Forbidden Synthesis team. With Forbidden, Wilson won U17 national titles and a Canada Cup overall before stepping up to the junior category.
Roisin McGuinness of New Zealand will join Wilson at Team High Country in the junior ranks. George Madley and Zac Bradley will represent the team in the elite racing.
While a small outfit, THC has lofty goals. 2026 sees the squad move from Atherton bikes to the belt-driven Zerode frames. That puts them in with a shot at the Gates $100,000 prize purse.
