Aaron Gwin joins Neko Mulally's Frameworks Racing

Aaron Gwin is joining the small-but-mighty Frameworks Racing. The five-time World Cup overall winner adds a whole heap of experience to the otherwise young squad.

Noth that the rest of the squad is slow, by any stretch. Asa Vermette is hearalded as the next big thing for U.S. downhill racing. With numerious World Cup wins and a Hardline title to his name as a junior, the young U.S. rider will have Gwin to help guide him into elites.

The third rider on Frameworks program is Anna Newkirk. Also from the U.S., Newkirk has several World Cup podiums to her name, including two in 2025 despite a season shortened by injury.

With Gwin comes TRP, a long-time sponsor of his that joins Frameworks as a title sponsor. The team will race as Frameworks Racing / TRP in 2026. Other interesting sponsorship notes: in addition to Framework’s sponsors, Gwin retains some of his personal sponsor list. That mean’s the eight-time national champ is sponsored by three bike parks: Ride Kanuga, Rock Creek and, the one he has personal ownership in, Windrock.

Frameworks: Aaron Gwin Team Intro

While the move is great for Gwin, Vermette, Newkirk and Frameworks, it’s not entirely clear what it mean’s for Gwin Racing. The U.S. rider’s own team has raced on Crestline bikes for the last two years.

The team last posted in November, saying “Here’s to a great fall and getting 2026 rolling!” With the team’s owner moving on to, er, another team, it’s possible that Gwin Racing could continue without Gwin. But it’d be surprising.
