Alison Jackson crashed at the Tour de France Femmes and was a total pro about it

Alison Jackson crashing at the Tour de France Femmes

Pro cycling is full of crashes, near misses and near saves. It’s a sport where a six-hour stage can be defined in the final thirty seconds. Even though it’s a long day in the saddle, there’s always drama.

Stage 2 of the Tour de France Femmes was a 148 km-race from Clermont-Ferrand to Mauriac, and with some tough climbs toward the end, was bound to be decisive. Liane Lippert (Movistar Team) took the win in her new German national championship jersey, over Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx) and Silvia Persico
(UAE Team ADQ). Kopecky continues to lead, with Canada’s Olivia Baril sitting in 29th overall.

Alison Jackson (EF Education-TIBCO-SVB), who is a huge favourite for a stage win at the TdFF, had a crash like so many other riders in the slick stage. Thankfully, she got up from her crash and, in typical Action Jackson style, was awesome.
