Baloise Ladies Tour: Charlotte Kool wins, holds lead

Charlotte Kool wins stage one of Baloise Ladies Tour

After two days of racing, Charlotte Kool (Team dsm-firmenich) has shown she’s the rider to beat at the 2023 Baloise Ladies Tour. Kool took the 2.6 km prologue in Vlissingen on Wednesday, and the leader’s jersey. She doubled up with a win on Thursday, the first road stage of the tour, a 119.8 km race in Zwevegem. The Dutch rider took the victory over Dane Emma Norsgaard (Movistar Team) and Lucinda Brand (Lidl-Trek).

Stage 2 is 116.2 km in Zulte.
