Bike chain locks are among the best bike locks available. While D-locks provide a high level of security, they can be difficult to fit around some anchors, through your frame and around a wheel at the same time. This is much easier with a bike chain lock, which can be threaded around awkward shapes.
Bike locks aren’t a fashion accessory and when a brand introduces a lock, it usually keeps selling the same design over a number of years, at most making minor updates. All the locks featured below were still available to buy in April 2024, when we last updated this guide.
