Brutal three car pile-up at Tour of Poland after bike change

Cars crash at the Tour of Poland

A routine bike change caused carnage in the caravan on Tuesday during Stage 4 of the Tour of Poland. After a rider from the Human Powered Health team stopped to get a new ride, it seemed as if the drivers behind weren’t quite paying attention.

SD Worx manager Danny Stam kicked out of Tour de France Femmes

The Vittoria neutral service car behind slammed into the HPH bumper, followed by the race’s medical support vehicle. The last car seemed to take the brunt of the damage, but hopefully everyone is OK.

Race caravans can be high-paced and stressful places to be for team staff, and it means that those behind the wheel need to be constantly attentive. Olav Kooij (Jumbo-Visma) won the 198.6-km race from Strzelin to Opole, out-kicking Marijn van den Berg (EF Education-EasyPost).The top ride from HPH was Polish rider, Stanislaw Aniolkowski who came in 12th.
