She’ll join Polish Tour de France champion and sixth-ranked Katarzyna Niewiadoma, Chloe Dygart, current Simac Ladies Tour leader Zoe Bäckstedt, 16th-ranked Neve Bradbury and Tiffany Cromwell at Canyon-SRAM.
The 29 year old kicked off her 2024 with a win in the second stage of the Santos Tour Down Under where she finished ninth overall. At the Giro d’Italia Ludwig was eighth on GC. She was runner-up in the 2021 La Course by Le Tour de France to Demi Vollering, took a stage of the 2022 Tour de France Femmes and earned a bronze in last year’s Worlds road race.
In her most recent competition, last Saturday’s Giro dell’Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite, Ludwig placed 11th.
Ludwig is a media darling for her enthusiastic and emotionally honest post-race interviews.
After the announcement she thanked the French WorldTeam on her Twitter account.
