In 1972, Gary and Craig Cook began designing BMX bikes and parts. Two years later, Cook Bros. Racing was officially on the market. Since the brothers had a passion for race cars and backgrounds in engineering, they brought an understanding of materials and manufacturing processes largely absent in the BMX community at the time.
