According to Surrey RCMP, a cyclist was hospitalized on Saturday after being hit by a driver. The collision occurred at around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 96th Avenue and Fraser Highway.

The cyclist, who was traveling northbound was hit by a westbound vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers administered first aid to the injured cyclist until emergency services arrived, according to CityNews.
The cyclist was then transported to a local hospital, where they received treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening. The RCMP have determined that neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the collision.
