Andrea Bagioli (Soudal-QuickStep) blasted across the uphill finish at Aubel to win the fifth and final stage of the Tour de Wallonie.
The Italian outsprinted Stephen Williams (Israel-Premier Tech) at the line for the victory, Arnaud De Lie (Lotto Dstny) trailing in third and former race leader Timo Kielich (Alpecin-Deceuninck) in fourth.
Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers) covered the 215km finale safely in the peloton behind the frantic sprint finish and took the overall title.
Bagioli launched his attack with 3km to go, a counter-attack of Lidl-Trek’s Filippo Baroncini and was swiftly matched by Williams for the final sprint duel.
