The men’s Tour is coming to a close, so that means that there’s plenty more Tour de France action. The women’s Tdf Femmes gets underway on Sunday in Paris. This is a watershed moment for women’s cycling, since there have been attempts at creating an “official” Tour, but it’s been 30 years since it was actually called the Tour.
The Tdf Femmes will 1,029 km s spread over eight stages. There are two mountain stages, as well as four stages for the sprinters, and two that would suit rouleurs.
The women will compete for four iconic jerseys: the yellow for GC leader, the green for best sprinter, polka-dots for best climber and white jersey for best young rider.
