Rasmus Tiller (Uno-X Pro Cycling Team) took a fabulous win at Dwars door het Hageland, which saw Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) back in action. The one day race is 177 km and goes from Aarschot to Diest, with 40 km of gravel.
MvdP was aggressive from the start, animating the race, but a puncture would ultimately foil his chances at a win. The Norwegian champ would take the victory from a group of three, finishing ahead of Stan Van Tricht (Soudal – Quick Step), and Florian Vermeersch (Lotto Dstny). Although luck was not on the ‘cross world champ’s side, he certainly made an impression in the race.
