Julian Alaphilippe signs three-year contract with Swiss ProTeam Tudor

Patrick Lefevere: despite Alaphilippe’s Giro, still no Tour

The Switzerland-based ProTeam Tudor Pro Cycling announced on Monday that Julian Alaphilippe will join the squad next year on a three-year contract. The French two-time world champion has raced with Soudal-Quick Step for 11 years. Fabian Cancellara purchased the Swiss Racing Academy in 2022 and arranged Swiss watch manufacturer Tudor’s sponsorship.

Marc Hirschi and Marco Haller have also come aboard Tudor’s 2025 lineup. The ProTeam raced Paris-Nice, winning Stage 2, and the Giro d’Italia this season. The outfit has been invited to the two WorldTour Grand Prix Cycliste races this September.

Alaphilippe’s palmares includes three La Flèche Wallonne titles, the 2019 Milan-San Remo and Strade Bianche trophies and the 2018 polka dot jersey from the Tour de France. At Grand Tours he has earned six stages of the Tour de France and one each at the Vuelta a Espana and Giro d’Italia, the latter this year. In his latest race, he was runner up to Hirschi at San Sebastian Klasikoa, a race he claimed in 2018. His next competition is the WorldTour Bretagne Classic-Ouest-France on Sunday.
