When Canyon rolled out its internal steering stabilizer – named K.I.S. for short – it divided opinions. Some riders were happy to see a new take on steering stabilizing (not damping, according to Canyon). Others were less than impressed with the way it was implemented on the Spectral K.I.S. models.
Troy Brosnan seems to be a fan though. Or at least willing to give it a shot. The Australian has his Canyon Sender downhill rig set up with the K.I.S. system. Since the Sender doesn’t come with the internal system, and cutting holes in his Sender’s frame is not something Brosnan is willing to do, Canyon mounted the K.I.S. system externally with some zip ties.
The steering stabilizer isn’t the only notable feature on Brosnan’s Sender, of course. The Australian’s also running new Blackbox bits, Boxxer forks, shock, and shifters, from RockShox and SRAM.
Check out more from Brosnan and his crew in the video below. Then watch this weekend’s racing to see if it’s is still on the Sender on Saturday.
