Spanish champion Mavi Garcia has been dropped from the peloton
After 40km of racing there is finally a breakaway with a small gap. Sara Martin of Movistar, Julie van de Velde of AG Insurance – Soudal, and Elena Hartmann of Roland have a five second lead.

Justine Ghekiere of AG Insurance – Soudal was first to crest the Côte de Courrière as some riders struggle to maintain contact at the back.
The Côte de Courrière is a new addition to the race alongside the Côte d’Evrehailles. The Côte de Cherave, which used to come before the Mur de Huy has been taken out of the race, something which seven-time former winner Anna van der Breggen is not impressed by.
