The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has launched a pilot project allowing bicycles on the Metro until August 20, according to a report in the CBC. During this three-month period, bicycles are welcome at all times, except during occasional high-traffic events.

The STM also recommends avoiding the frontmost car whenever possible. Cyclists must be at least 14 years old or accompanied by an adult to board.

Guidelines for bikes on train

When entering or exiting the train, the STM asks that you limit the number of bikes to two per car and one bike per door. You should also remember to keep your bike close to you at all times and maintain control over it. Finally, the STM asks that you avoid resting your bike against seats or any other Metro facilities to ensure a pleasant journey for everyone.

It should be noted that the pilot project is effective until August 20, so do try and make the most of this opportunity while it lasts.
