While many teams are announcing the athletes they’re dropping, Norco is doing the exact opposite. They’re also going against the grain by expanding their DH team roster. Yesterday Norco’s social media channels featured a short reel with Greg Minnar walking into a bar. Above the bar was something like a billboard featuring cartoon images of the 2025 team. Speculation started instantly on who those seven caricatures are.
If you scroll over the athlete profile pics on the Norco athletes page, the photos switch to cartoons; revealing drawings of Greg Minaar, Gracey Hemstreet and Lucas Cruz. So that’s three of the seven.
Internet speculators are suggesting Danny Hart may be one of the other team members. Othere well-educated guesses are Lina Frener, Bodhi Kuhn and Erice Van Leuven.
While Hart is at the older end of the spectrum, the team is definitely on the younger end of things. Which suggests Norco is going with the long play; building a team that, over time, will grow into a succesful endeavor. With the GOAT Greg Minnar at the helm, and at a time when DH teams appear to be shrinking, Norco’s bet may be genius. Only time will tell.
For now, it’s all speculation. We have to wait until next year to find out who’s on the team and what they’re capable of. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be an exciting year on the DH circuit.
