Norco's one-off Hardline bikes - Canadian Cycling Magazine

Gracey Hemstreet and Erice van Leuven are charging into Red Bull Hardline 2025 with fully custom Norco bikes and kits. Hardline is as much about expression as it is about pushing limits, and these setups are dialed to do both.

A tribute to speed and history

Erice’s kit is more than just a fresh look—it’s a nod to her great-grandfather, Bob McKay, New Zealand’s first-ever jet pilot. Back in 1945, McKay flew the Gloster Meteor NZ6001, making history as part of the first operational Allied jet fighter squadron. That same speed, precision and boldness carries over into Erice’s setup, with a Meteor-inspired color scheme and a stealthy camo base.

Moto, flames and speed

Gracey’s bike and kit bring her love of moto into the mix, blending classic color blocking with modern fades. The Norco “N” is stamped loud and proud, with flames tearing across the design—because if you’ve ever watched Gracey ride, you know she’s always full gas. And yes, there’s plenty of pink. Because Gracey loves pink.

A freeride crew

It’s no coincidence that the women on Norco’s Race Division are just as comfortable throwing big freeride moves as they are smashing race splits. Hardline is the first stop where Gracey and Erice will line up as teammates. Pushing each other to go bigger, faster and higher.

“Having two other female athletes to ride with at the races and outside the races is going to be awesome. We’re all quite freeride, so it’ll be fun downtime while still working on the bike together.” – Erice van Leuven

Race vs. freeride?

Hardline is the ultimate hybrid of racing and freeride and Gracey is ready to take it all in:

“I’m up for the challenge. It’s going to be crazy because 90 per cent of the field is racers and we race each other all the time. I’m going to treat it just as a freeride event and try and be more steezy this year. I want to have a good time.” – Gracey Hemstreet

With Tasmania’s massive features waiting, the 2025 Hardline is set to be wild—it’s going to be one to watch. Stay tuned.
