If you win Paris-Roubaix and other big races, post hilarious videos, then you’re going to have a following. Alison Jackson didn’t win the road worlds, but she certainly won the hearts of cycling fans on the course. Spectators were treated to an incredible day of racing which saw Lotte Kopecky take a huge win.
The Belgian capped off an impressive month of racing. She wore the yellow jersey at the Tour de France Femmes, won the points and finished second overall. Only a week later jumped onto the track, where she took gold medals in the points and elimination race. On Sunday, she became the first Belgian woman to take the rainbow jersey on the road in fifty years.
Jackson would finish 33rd, behind fellow Canadian Simone Boilard who came in 32nd. Although it wasn’t the result she was looking for, the national champion had only positive thoughts after the race. “Didn’t have the legs today, but I simply love racing anyway! And this donut box hand-up was my favourite moment of the day! I love all you, my fans, out on course cheering my name!”
On the infamous Montrose climb, she had quite the support from people gathered on the side of the road. As she ascended the steep hill with teammate Olivia Baril, spectators were singing, “Go, Alison Jacccckson!”
Mathieu van der Poel just broke the Internet on the road worlds course recon

Jackson had previously posted a video of her enjoying some Tim Horton’s donuts in Scotland.
So it was no surprise that someone found some Timmies for a mid-race snack.
