Oh boy, Lance Armstrong wants to race Jake Paul

Oh, the Internet, you rascal. Jake Paul has been putting in miles on his Colnago with his speedskating Olympian Jutta Leerdam in the UAE. The Internet has already taken great offence to the Influencer and YouTuber using platform pedals and sneakers on a high-end bike, but now, he’s decided to troll former pro/disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong.

The world’s biggest troll trolled Armstrong

And Armstrong (and I guess Canadian Cycling Magazine) has taken the bait. Paul posted a video of Leerdam out training. Leerdam is an accomplished speedskater, having won a silver at the Olympics. Like most speedskaters, she uses the bike for cardio, since holding the position she’d use on the ice is so aggressive she can only train so much.

Jake Paul has committed a crime against bicycles

She was actually sponsored for several years by Visma—the same one that sponsors Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard. Speaking of the Tour de France, the 7-time non-winner was not amused with Paul’s video.

And Lance took the bait

“Lance, I’m coming,” he shouts as he rides with Leerdam. She then advises that Armstrong needs to be ready.

What was either a joke or troll did not seem to resonate with Captain WeDü.

He wrote, “Child, please. You’ve been looking for an ass whoopin’. You found your place.”

Paul recently beat 58-year-old Mike Tyson in a boxing match watched by millions on Netflix, so this would probably be just as amusing. Armstrong then doubled down, posting, “You name the time and place, punk. Me and my ball will be there.” The 53-year-old is, of course, referring to the fact that he had one of his testicles removed, which is where his wonderful little self-assigned nickname, Juan Pelota, came from.

If they did race, it would certainly be a moral dilemma for many since neither is exactly loved on the Internet. I would probably put my money on Armstrong, if I had to, since he’s stayed fairly fit since retiring. You’d think the possibility of such a race would never happen, but it may end up being a giant CUT TO: “Presented by Netflix” before you know it.
