After racing at the Olympics in her blue Team Canada kit, new national champion Olivia Baril debuted her red and white national championship jersey at the Tour de France Femmes.
The Rouyn-Noranda native took the win in June, beating EF Education’s Magdeleine-Vallieres Milles in St. Georges, Que. Mara Roldan came in third and won the under-23 crown.
Unlike fellow new national champion Mike Woods, Baril went for a more traditional approach to her jersey. The Israel – Premier Tech rider chose to give his maple leaf jersey the vibe of the ‘96 Atlanta track kit, reminiscent of an old-school Team Canada hockey jersey.

Baril’s jersey is closer to the podium jersey that athletes receive when they win the national championships, with her Movistar logos placed around the maple leaf. Movistar’s kit is provided by Spanish company Gobik.
