Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) secured a solo victory in the elite men’s race at Superprestige Boom, winning his second race of the season while wearing the rainbow jersey.
The World Champion and Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) raced head-to-head in the opening two laps, but the Dutchman crashed on a slippery cobbled section of the circuit just after the mechanic pits, which left him out of contention.
Dutch Champion Lars van der Haar (Baloise Trek Lions) beat Eli Iserbyt (Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal) in the two-up sprint for second place.
