Ride Wrap launches limited Creator Kits featuring Sea-to-Sky pros

Do you love the way your bike rides but wish it had a bit more personality? And maybe don’t want the brand new factory paint to get covered in scratches from the trail? Ride Wrap, the Whistler-born frame protection company, teamed up with a few pros, local and global, for a colourful solution: a limited edition Creator Protection Kits

Ride Wrap Creator Protection Kits

The new Creator Protection Kits are built off of Ride Wrap’s new Lotus Pro 10 film, but with the addition of a graphic layer. The graphic layers are designed with the pros, and a few extra themes from Ride Wrap. The initial run includes collaborations with B.C. locals Miranda Miller, Jesse Melamed and international names like Emma Olofsson, among others.

Unlike Ride Wrap’s tailored protection kits, the Creator Protection offers a universal fit. No special tools or installation procedures, these are easy to apply (and remove) on any type of bike. Mountain bike, road, gravel, commuter, kids bike, whatever.

Each kit includes pieces for the chain stay, seatstay, seat tube, top tube and a full set of smaller pieces for customization to match your frame or style. Creator kits can be used on their own or layered on top of Lotus Pro kits for additional protection.

Ride Wrap Lotus Pro 10 film

Lotus Pro 10 is Ride Wrap’s newest protection film. It is the world’s first bicycle-specific protection film made from 77 per cent recycled materials. It uses embedded superhydrophobic ceramic layers for improved protection and easy cleaning.

Lotus Pro 1o film uses three layers. The top layer is a Superhydrophobic TPU Topcoat. It uses what Ride Wrap calls ceramic technologies to make the film easy to clean. It is also apparently self-healing, with light scuff and marks disappearing with gentle heat. The mid layer is a 10mm-thick TPU durability layer. The base layer, an acrylic adhesive layer, is designed to work with the types of paint used on bikes. Ride Wrap’s worked to make the layer work with matte finishes and the tight corners and bends of modern mountain bikes. It’s also designed to be easier to remove than prior Ride Wrap kits.

Lotus Pro 10 film is used for Creator Protection Kits. But, in clear, it also is the foundation for Ride Wrap’s Fork protection, Essential protection, Covered Protection and its library of 318,496 Tailored Protection kits.
