After a great ride at the Tour Down Under, Victoria’s Sarah Van Dam has been involved in a collision in Australia.
“Unfortunately, Sarah Van Dam was clipped by the wing mirror of a van during a training ride in Adelaide on Friday. She thankfully didn’t come down but reported pain in her shoulder as a result of the impact. After x-rays it was discovered that she has a broken collarbone, sadly ruling her out of the remaining races in Australia,” her team, Ceratizit–WNT Pro Cycling posted. “We’ll update further as soon as we have more details on the next steps, but in the meantime please join us in wishing Sarah a speedy recovery.”
