The latest standings from the 109th edition of the Tour de France
Three second places was enough for Wout van Aert at the Tour de France, so on stage four he went off by himself just to make sure.
With that phenomenal stage victory Van Aert has a secure grip on the yellow heading into the cobbles on stage five. Even if Van Aert loses the yellow, he’ll have green to fall back on with a healthy lead over Fabio Jakobsen (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl).
Van Aert is also now second in the mountains classification too, but does sit 10 points behind Magnus Cort (EF Education First-EasyPost) who went out in the breakaway again to collect a handful more points.
The GC contenders remain in their respective positions on a regroupment after Wout van Aert’s attack, so Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) remains in the white jersey of best young rider.
