Tour de France Stage 13: Kwiatkowski Powers Away on Grand Colombier

INEOS Grenadier Michal Kwiatkowski escaped the breakaway to win the 13th stage of the Tour de France solo atop the Grand Colombier, his second career stage win. Tadej Pogacar of UAE also gained a few seconds on the overall leader, Jonas Vingegaard of Jumbo Visma, after a blistering attack inside the final few hundred meters of this brutal climb in the Vosges Mountains, though after his UAE team set a high pace all day, this was a surprisingly marginal gain and leaves the two separated by nine seconds heading into the weekend’s showdown in the Alps.
