The 2023 Tour de Chiens…I mean, Tour de France, is nearing an end. We’ve seen a lot of incredible racing…and we’ve seen a lot of dogs. When Adam Yates took the yellow jersey after Stage 2, for example, someone made sure his pet Samoyed, Zoe, was kitted up in a maillot jaune as well.
Guess what Adam Yates’s dog was wearing for Stage 2 of the Tour de France?
Yates isn’t the only one to bring his dog. British rider Tom Pidcock has his daschund Chestnut, and American Sepp Kuss brought his puppers, Bimba.

The current French national champion, Valentin Madouas, is also a lover of dogs. His pet bichon has three brothers and sisters, according to a post from his team, Groupama–FDJ. Madouas loves the little furballs, because they are cute and energetic, according to the video. Unfortunately, according to the team, Paquito has been too busy to attend the Grand Boucle, because he’s “trop de taf.” (Trop de travail a faire, which translates to too much work to do.)
But it seems like Paquito’s sister, Perle managed to find the time to see son père, because during Stage 18 he was there on the sidelines, supporting Madouas. The French rider saw his fluffball on the sidelines, and made sure to give her a little smooch. Paquito immediately recognized her favourite hooman, as you can tell by the wagging tail.
