World Champion Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) outduelled Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) to win stage 3 of the Volta a Catalunya at the summit finish of La Molina.
Evenepoel attacked from a 40-strong peloton at 4.5 kilometres to go with a long acceleration, but Roglič easily reached him,. after shadowing the Belgian towards the summit, the two fought it out for the finish.
Inside the last kilometre, Evenepoel accelerated away on the final left hand corner of the climb, easily dropping Roglič, to claim the win a few metres ahead of the Slovenian.
