Wout van Aert out of Strade Bianche after illness disrupts training

Wout van Aert will skip this year’s Strade Bianche and will instead make his 2023 season debut at Tirreno-Adriatico.

Van Aert said his training has been disrupted by a recent illness. “Unfortunately I have been ill for a few days in recent weeks. Fortunately nothing too bad. After a few days I was already better, but it did disrupt my training a bit,” he said on social media.
