Welcome to live coverage of the Climb Championships for Zwift Games 2025!
Firstly, we’re heading to the iconic virtual world of Watopia for some climbing action on the brand-new Downtown Eruption route!
*Stage 3* will see the riders will blast off with a furious start on the undulating roads of Watopia’s original island. But the real challenge lies ahead: the mighty Volcano Climb! At 3.2km long, with an average gradient of 3.2% and a max of 8.8%, this climb will be the key battleground for crucial bonus points. Will we see an early attack, or will the climbers save their legs for a brutal sprint to the summit? After a rapid descent, the course heads back through Downtown before tackling the leg-sapping forward Zwift hilly climb to the summit finish line!
Stage 3 Key Stats:
Route: Downtown Eruption
Distance: 19.9km
Elevation Gain: 275m
Every rider will start with that all-important Aero PowerUp! Remember, it makes them more aerodynamic for 15 seconds. But the question is: will anyone dare use it on the uphill sprint? It’s a high-risk, high-reward strategy that could make or break their chances!
Bonus Points: 10, 5, and 3 points are up for grabs for the first three riders over the Volcano Climb summit. The Stage winner takes home a massive 70 points towards their overall Zwift Games score!
Next today and for *Stage 4* we’re swapping volcanic landscapes for the streets of London on the all-new London Uprising route! Get ready for a day of punchy climbs and strategic racing!
The suffering starts almost immediately as the riders hit the Fox Hill climb! Maintaining position over the top will be critical ahead of the adrenaline-fueled descent into the city. But don’t expect a rest! It’s straight into a sprint for bonus points on The Mall! The respite from the climbs doesn’t last long however, with a final, leg-burning push up Box Hill! This 3km climb, averaging 4.4% with a max of 7.7%, will decide which riders earn their spot in the Climb Showdown!
Stage 4 Key Stats:
Route: London Uprising
Distance: 20.9km
Elevation Gain: 357m
Once again, each rider will start the race armed with that crucial Aero PowerUp, granting them a 15-second burst of aerodynamic advantage. Will it be used for a daring breakaway, to claw back lost ground, or to unleash a devastating sprint for the line? The strategy will be key!
Bonus Points: The first 3 riders across the line at the sprint on The Mall will earn 10, 5 and 3 points respectively, with 70 more points up for grabs for the stage winner!
Finally, the *Climb Showdown!* The 5 fastest men and 5 fastest women from Stages 3 and 4 based on their combined finish positions are ready to go head-to-head on an epic ascent of Fox Hill in London!
After a flat run-in, the riders will hit the climb, and then it is straight down to business. Fox
Hill is 2.4km of climbing at the most severe gradient of 11.7%, so it will be a true test of legs amongst the best climbers in the Zwift world. Will we see a brave rider make a solo attack right from the bottom, or will they stay together? The final recovery at the top before the short descent, followed by a short sprint to the finish line, that will decide the ultimate winner.

Elevation Gain: 156m
The Final Showdown: No PowerUps. No Second Chances. Just Pure Climbing Prowess.
This is where legends are made! It’s pure climbing ability that will determine the champions, the best climbers, the strongest legs and the best tactics will take the ultimate prizes.
There are no GC points on the line, but the stakes couldn’t be higher! The top 3 riders will take home prize money, and the winner will claim the legendary Gold Concept Z1 bike, a Zwift icon reserved for only the best!
