5 Transfomers-inspired bikes to celebrate the new movie

Move over, Michael Bay, there’s a new Transformers movie and it doesn’t look like your goofy versions. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is sequel to Bumblebee (2018) and a prequel of sorts to Bay’s Transformers from 2007. It’s based on the G1 cartoon as well as the Beast Wars cartoon that brought back the popular franchise in 1996. From what it seems, the plot takes certain elements from the source material in the cartoons and comics, but in a slightly different direction. You’ll see the Maximals, including Optimus Primal, and Predacons, as well as the Autobots and Decepticons, but the story itself will be new to you, if you’re a Transformers fan. But it will finally bring a proper, more faithful version of Unicron to the screen, as opposed to Bay’s absolute garbage-take on the planet devourer. (Honestly, that whole series got worse and worse, culminating in the beyond dumb Transformers: The Last Knight.)

To celebrate the ‘bots coming back, here’s some Transformers-themed bikes.

1. A transformable EV bike you can shove under your desk

The $4, 000 Tatamel transforms from an EV Bike to…well something that fits in your office. The company claims that is inspired by the TFs, and when you see who founded it, it won’t be a surprise. Takamitsu Ikoma and Takuma Ogata, used to work at Takara Tomy, own the company Icoma, which produces the bike.

2. A super cool Transformers Toy bike

Pedal ID made a very nifty-looking bike, which is a toy…but how could would it be if they made a full-size version of this beauty? The single speed comes with double discs featuring an Autobot symbol and Transformers logo.

3. Custom Bumblebee Bianchi

Combine one of the finest Italian brands in the world with one of the most popular characters in the TF universe and you’ve got a sweet ride. Check out the yellow highlights on the hoods and rims matched with the frame’s sweet paint job. The groupset seems to 10 speed 105, which makes sense as the film came out back in 2018.

4. Bumblebee cruiser

Speaking of Bee, check out this awesome cruiser that was made when the previous Transformers movie came out. Villy bikes teamed up with Hasbro to create the ride. “This battle-ready beauty has been adorned with a BumbleBee signature yellow finish, sleek silver rims, and gloss black finishes throughout. Along the chainguard, the Autobot language speaks the name of our beloved hero,” the description reads.

5. Fine, get your kid a Transformers bike, too
