Pro cycling gives fans an up-and-close opportunity to see their heroes. Since races like the Tour de France are a rolling enclosure, and with many sections having little to no barriers, you get to see the athletes in ways unlike many other sports. Sure, you can maybe get an autograph from a ball player before the game, but you can’t be basically on the ice beside him when he shoots a wrist shot. In cycling, millions of fans will line the mountains and run beside their heroes (sometimes, a little too close) during the big moments.
Tadej Pogačar is certainly a fan favourite. The fact that he is one of the best cyclists in the world helps, but his charisma on and off the bike make him beloved by many. Whether it’s making jokes before the race, during, or after, the cycling world sure loves Pog.

On Saturday, a girl in France held up a sign with a simple request. If she got a photo with the Slovenian, her dad would get her a rabbit.
Someone in Pog’s entourage must have seen it, because he obliged, making her day and creating a memory she will never forget. Plus, she’s getting a rabbit, methinks.
