The opening day is likely to offer up a sprint finish in Aranda de Duero, a rolling day in the saddle, with the final 400m to the finish line kicking up at a 4% average gradient. It is a drag of a sprint finish and may bring some lesser fancied names to the fore. Taking place from the west to the south of Burgos, the peloton will need to be on alert should high winds pick up!
