Is Sagan going to one-up van Aert’s Masked Singer?

Peter Sagan may be retired, but he is still staying busy–even off the bike. The former multiple world champion and green jersey will be putting on his cha cha heels for the Slovak show, Let’s Dance. It’s the Slovakian version of the popular British show, Strictly Come Dancing. It’s also part of the Dancing With The Stars formats.

The show has been around since 2006, with a total of ten seasons. Will he break the internet like Wout Van Aert did in October? The cycling superstar appeared on the Belgian version of The Masked Singer, where celebrities perform in disguise. Van Aert delivered a strong rendition of Blur’s “Song 2.” “I was looking forward to it. But I was a bit scared,” the Visma – Lease a Bike rider said. As far as the show, Sagan said, “When the offer came to be a part of Let’s Dance, my first reaction was clearly ‘no!’ Because I’ve never danced and I couldn’t imagine that I could do it. But since I like watching dance, as such and I like theater as well.”

Sagan’s acting chops

Although his career didn’t end the way he wanted—with a trip to Paris for the 2024 Olympics for the MTB, he did show off his acting skills around the same time.

Van der Poel and Van Aert both broke the Internet in very different ways

The Slovenian beer brand Zlatý Bažant enlisted Sagan to promote its Radler. (To be fair, given Sagan’s checkered history with alcohol, it was 0.0 per cent alcohol-free Radler.) The ad was charming. It featured Sagan using pedal power to switch a party pontoon into party mode, rather than propelling a race bike to…
