As 2025 gets closer the team mix ups and sponsor drops continue to be revealed. We’re excited to see who’s going where for the new year, but until the big apple drops, we’re learning about dropped riders only so far.
Marine Cabirou off Scott
Why anyone would drop Marine Cabirou is a tough one to speculate on. Perhaps a better offer came along? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure; Cabirou will continue to be one to watch in 2025.
“It’s time for me to start a new adventure and take on new challenges. I can confirm that I’ll still be on a downhill bike for a few more years.”
Four riders off Orbea Factory XC team
Luca Martin, Anne Tauber, David Campos and Chiara Teocchi are off the Orbea Factory XC team. Only Pierre de Froidmont appears to remain on Orbea’s XC team.
FMD and Canyon
Wouldn’t it be interesting to be a fly on the wall during these kinds of decisions? The FMD team will no longer be rigind Canyon bikes in 2025.
“After 5 seasons on track together, we have been through a global pandemic, career threatening injuries, world series shake-ups, multiple podiums across DH and Freeride, trophies, medals and awards held high, 5x Junior World Cup wins and 2x Elite World Cup wins, expansion of a world class team, developing a content powerhouse and building our team’s and athlete’s overall exposure to over 1 million followers.
Our treasured time together has now come to an end.”–Tony Seagrave
