French cross-country powerhouse Loana Lecomte signed with the Swiss-based BMC Factory Racing Team for the 2025 season. This shift not only marks a major change in her sporting journey but also signals BMC’s ambitious push to dominate the XC circuit.
Leaving Canyon
Lecomte’s announcement comes after three successful years with Canyon CLLCTV, a partnership filled with triumphs, challenges, and unforgettable moments. During her time with Canyon, she racked up multiple world cup victories and established herself as one of the most consistent and explosive riders in the field.
Her heartfelt farewell to Canyon underscored the depth of those three years:
“Thank you for believing in me to set up this big project in 2022, for supporting me through good times and bad and for always doing your utmost for the athletes and staff. It was three years of victories, hard times, rebounding and unbelievable moments. Merci!”
Leaving behind her coach and long-time staff since 2019, she’s embracing the challenge of adapting to a fresh setup and a new way of racing.
2024 season
Lecomte’s 2024 season was nothing short of dramatic. A crash at the Paris Olympics crushed her dreams of a podium finish on home soil. But she rebounded by capping off the season with a dominant win at the Mont-Sainte-Anne World Cup.
By the end of the 2024 season she was ranked fourth overall in XCO and eighth in XCC.
BMC’s all-star lineup
Lecomte joins a star-studded roster at BMC Factory Racing, which also includes her compatriots and XC titans Jordan Sarrou, a former world champion and Titouan Carod, a multiple French national champion.
At the center of this plan is the BMC Fourstroke, now equipped with Öhlins electronic suspension. For a rider like Lecomte, known for her precision and speed, the Fourstroke could be the perfect weapon to take on the world’s toughest courses.
