NOBL Signature series wheels is a first for the Canadian brand

For a long time, NOBL built its reputation on a fully-custom wheel builds. The Vancouver Island brand has relied for several years now on its TR-series rims. Those were built up around, well, whatever you wanted off of the vast wall of hubs in NOBL’s Cumberland headquarters. With the Signature series, NOBL’s first new release in a few riding seasons, the brand is going in a new direction.

NOBL builds the Signature series around solid parts and a new rim design. By narrowing the options down, NOBL’s also able to keep the price in check. High performance wheels, with options from XC to eMTB. And in all the colors you want, as long as it’s black. Well, that’s not quite true. NOBL’s still offering a range of decal colours, just on black hubs and, as ever, raw carbon rims.

If you still want to design your dream wheelset, NOBL’s still got you. It will continue to offer its Sinewave rim profile of the TR- series with, as mentioned, a staggering array of hub and spoke options and custom colours.

NOBL Signature series

In contrast to the banquet of boutique offerings, NOBL’s Signature series focuses on quality through simplicity. There are two rim options, two wheel sizes and one standard build to cover the full range of riding. The two rims, Signature 36 and Signature 38, are both designed around steel spokes (NOBL offers several more exotic options in its custom program). They share a similar shallow rim-depth design approach, while diverging in the details to suit their differing purposes.

NOBL says the Signature series’ shallow depth is designed to “Balance compliance with precise handling.” This should make the wheels calmer over rough ground and, specifically, track better over off-camber terrain.

All wheelseets are build around high end black Hope Pro 5 hubs, Alpina Extralite spokes and black Sapim Polyax Securelock alloy spoke nipples. Signature series wheels are available in six-bolt or centerlock disc mount standards and Boost spacing or, for the 38, SuperBoost (157) rear spacing.

If you want a bit of colour, NOBL offers the decals in White, Chrome Silver, Chrome Gold, or for the fully stealth look, Gloss Black.

All Signature series wheels carry NOBL’s lifetime warranty: “If you break your rims while using the product for its intended purpose, we will send you a replacement rim at no charge; you will just pay the cost of shipping.”
