There’s plenty of racing at the Sea Otter Classic but if you’re looking for something different, there’s also a book launch going on. Written by Marley Blonsky, it’s published by Canadian Cycling Magazine writer Molly Hurford’s company, Strong Girl Publishing.
Debut kids book
The cycling advocate is marking the release of her debut children’s book. It’s called, The Ragtag Best Friends Bicycle Club: A Story About Riding Your Own Way, with a full slate of readings, and appearances.
The book centres on a group of kids who don’t fit the usual mould of what a cyclist “should” look like. It’s aimed at readers aged four to eight.
Blonsky will be on-site throughout the weekend, hosting readings in the Kids Zone.
If you’re around, there are a few chances to catch it all in person.
Readings are set for Friday morning, Saturday morning, and Sunday. There is also a combined reading and kit launch midday Saturday at the SHREDLY booth.
There’s also a more casual press meet-up late Saturday morning, with some snacks included.
The book officially launches April 15. You can learn more here.
